Meet the 2017 Young Jumper

Course Designer

Course designer for the 2014 FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France, Frédéric Cottier has been tapped to set the tracks for the Classic Champions Five, Six, and Seven-year-old Young Jumper Championships, presented by Hampton Farms, LLC, taking place on the iconic Grand Prix Field at the wildly popular Old Salem Farm Fall Classic on September 27 and 28.

As a team veteran for France, Frédéric has competed on over 25 winning Nations’ Cup teams, and was named French National Champion in 1980. Frédéric also earned an individual bronze medal at the 1983 European Championships and a team silver medal at the 1987 European Championships. Representing France at the Olympic level, Frédéric was part of the bronze medal-winning team at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea.

Join Frédéric Cottier for an audio-visual course designing symposium, presented by Classic Champions, Inc., at the Clock Tower Grill in Old Salem Farm’s viewing area.

  • Wednesday, September 27, beginning at the conclusion of the day’s competition
  • Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be provided

A New Chance Dog Rescue

Continuing a dedication by the equine industry to support animal welfare, A New Chance Dog Rescue will host an adoption day on Sunday, October 1, beginning at 10am. A New Chance rescues homeless and helpless dogs through fostering and adoption and will have many of their available dogs at Old Salem Farm during the Fall Classic.
