Wellington, FL –  Jan. 15, 2017 – American Equestrians Got Talent (AEGT) Week II, sponsored by Dressage Connection is scheduled for Jan.18 at 6 p.m. at the Grande Ballroom at 12150 Forest Hill Boulevard, directly behind the town hall. Robert Dover, chef d’equipe of the U.S. Dressage Team, raises funds for USEF High Performance Programs at the weekly event during the winter season. AEGT showcases the talents of anyone associated with the equestrian community in South Florida and raising much-needed funds for the sport.

“Everyone commented on how much fun it was last week,” Dover said. “The food, catered by Wellington Hospitality Group, led by Aaron Menitoff and Julie Larson, was great! This week a New Orleans Mardi Gras theme is planned.”

During Week I Olivia Willis, representing the sport of dressage, won the hotly contested first place prize of $1,000 and will move on to the Finale. Second-place finisher, representing the sport of jumping, Brit Lee More also wowed the audience with her big voice. Veteran AEGT performer, 11-year-old Zach “Attack” Duckworth, also made the top three.

Performers may return to try to earn their spot in the Finale scheduled for March 19. The winner will take home the grand prize of  $10,000.

The judges panel includes AEGT Honorary Chair and Grand Prix dressage rider P.J. Rizvi. Kim Boyer, owner of Hampton Green Farm, founder of Discover Dressage and chair of the USEF Dressage Owners Task Force will also judge. Boyer’s foundation Discover Dressage is taking an active role in the production of AEGT. The AEGT third judge is Ronnie Beard, a legendary hunter/jumper trainer, R-rated judge and co-owner of Wyndmont. Beard serves on the Show Jumping High Performance committee and is chair of the USEF Talent Search Task Force.
