September 4, 2010

LEXINGTON, (Equibase) – iPhone users can watch video replays and view the results of all graded stakes races from 2010 following the launch of the free Equibase Racing YearbookTM application (app) within the iTunes store, it was announced today by Equibase President & COO Hank Zeitlin.

“The Equibase Racing Yearbook is the latest innovation developed by Equibase to serve the rapidly growing mobile web market,” said Zeitlin. “By repackaging race day information that is presently available at equibase.com, incorporating full search capability and adding video race replays provided by Post Time Technologies, this app will not only serve the needs of existing fans, but help the sport to reach out and develop new fans as well.”

The Equibase Racing Yearbook app can be downloaded free at itunes.com. It features video replays, results, mutuel payoffs, and full charts of all graded stakes races as well as ungraded prep races for the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup. Users can search the app by race name, horse, jockey, trainer or racetrack.

The app’s launch follows the recent announcement of the redesigned equibase.com mobile site, which was one of the first racing websites specifically designed for mobile devices when introduced in 2003. The latest redesign was undertaken to take advantage of the powerful smart phone technology residing within the iPhone and phones with the new Android operating system.
